Finally

In May I started 2 pieces of jewelry. I was all excited and then all kinds of things happened. The bracelet was very close to being finished when I got an idea for another bracelet. So I started the other bracelet and simply forgot about this bracelet - "Twist of Fate." I put it aside and it just kind of got hidden because I was still staying with my parents at this time due to my surgery. I got it out this week and decided to finish it.

I also found this stunning necklace this week. It doesn't quite have the same story. I started it with the same gusto but when I got to the embellishment part, I was a little disappointed. I didn't realize that I had purchased the wrong crystals for this necklace. The crystals I bought didn't have the correct holes so I had to reorder them, but I did so in the wrong color (oops). So I tried to order the crystals again, but nobody had the color I wanted in the size I needed. I wasn't having much luck so I just left it and started other projects. After I finished "Twist of Fate" I picked this necklace up again and looked through my selection. I decided to make up another pattern and am very happy with the outcome.

Arts in Central Park 2010

This weekend is Arts in Central Park 2010. This is a great event in Decatur, IL. This event will be filled with original work from artists who will be coming from all over the country. Besides being able to shop my unique hand crafted jewelry & pottery, you will also see blown glass, oil acrylic, watercolor, wood, fiber, sculpture, photography, & more.

It's all about the dogs

I'm taking a little break from jewelry & pottery right now & showing off my pride & joy. I want to show you Ella, Bentley, and our newest addition, Freeway who is 17 weeks old.


Ella and Bentley are both Japanese Chins. Freeway is a Mal-Shi (Maltese-Shih Tzu Breed mix) or otherwise known as a "Designer Puppy."



All 3 doggies in a row. Each were chewing on a toy or bone right before I snapped this shot. This is a pretty low-toy volume right now. Usually the floor is covered in toys and chew bones.



Ella & Freeway getting to know one another. Look how tiny he was, now he's mostly hair. He's so wiggly I can't get him to stay still long enough for a hair cut.

Bentley & Freeway - this is a very rare moment when any of them will sit still long enough for a cute photo, let alone 2 of them (especially Freeway). Way to go mom for getting this adorable shot.

This was one of Freeway's first photos. He is so fast & wiggly that we had to put him on the grooming table to get a quick shot. I love it!
