I honestly didn't realize the seriousness of the surgery I had to have. I knew it was important and I needed it to survive but I guess I kind of sugar-coated it to not scare myself anymore than I already was. I am very lucky to have the best doctor perform the procedure so I'm not worried about the actual operation, it's just the slow recovery that I didn't realize would be so painful. I am very fortunate to be able to stay with my fabulous parents who are wonderful nurses and it's fun watching our doggies playing - they entertain me and take my mind off of things. Speaking of doggies... The pottery I'm displaying in this blog is all about doggies. I have a few brand new pieces (the treat jar and the "rover" water/food bowl) and they are completely adorable in person!
This Box is a tribute to our late Bichon, Teddy who passed away on February 27, 2010. I plan on giving it to my father on Father's Day. My mom & I think it will be a nice little memorial that daddy can put Teddy's dog tags in & also just be a great keepsake of a wonderful pet/friend Teddy was to our family.

Our Tribute to Teddy.
